NorthWest Territories Send Team to Arizona for Native American Basketball Invitational

YELLOWKNIFE, NWT- A team out of the Northwest Territory will be representing Canada and the province at the Native American Basketball invitational (NABI) in Phonex, Arizona.

The team will be heading to Arizona in July to begin competition, and in the meantime are training in an area where it doesn’t get much further north in Canada.

Despite the considerable lack of size, Head Coach Neil Barry believes his squad will represent well.

“As usual, we’re an undersized team, but I feel they make up for that with talent. We have a lot of strong guards, so we’ll rely on our quickness and shooting to keep games up-tempo and high scoring.”
