VIDEO: Jordan Henry hits game winner at Blacktop Classic

Earlier this weekend NPH photographer Jeff Fulgar hit you with a photo essay of The Blacktop Classic, an outdoor tournament which brought together four of the GTA’s premiere AAU clubs in a streetball style tournament held at Toronto’s Harbourfront.

In the finals Canada Elite took on CIA Bounce, with fans witnessing an absolute battle on the blacktop. Canada Elite took home the inaugural championship in a game that went down to the wire.

Canada Elite’s Jordan Henry, who currently is being recruited by the likes of Virginia Tech and Binghamton University, was running the point as the clock wound down and decided to take matters into his own hands.

The 5’9” guard crossed half with eight seconds to go and attacked the rim with ferocity, only to step back so casually it made everyone else look silly for trying so hard. Henry connected on the stepback and put Canada Elite up with five seconds left, a lead they would hold onto to take away the Blacktop Crown.
