ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Video Production Manager, the Video Production Correspondent will serve as support for video production activities at North Pole Hoops, such as filming, organizing and editing footage, ensuring the highest possible quality of video task execution. The Video Production Correspondent is expected to follow and promote the philosophy of: 1. lead yourself, 2. support your team and 3. execute tasks.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize / cut video footage for leagues, tournaments & other events for easy and fast access during editing
- Film full game footage for various levels of production
- On-site correspondent for outside tournaments, filming social media content/live exports
- Edit various different projects for league & tournament content
- Attend weekly meetings within the video production department in order to provide progress reports on last week’s tasks, as well as to execute the assigned and/or prioritized tasks for the upcoming week
- Work closely with other departments within the company, collaborating with the other departments throughout various stages of video-related processes
- Coordinate with the Video Production Manager in order to create a growth program (e.g. courses, books, seminars, etc) for the Video Production Correspondent’s own growth
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Familiarity with filming and video editing processes
- Team player with great interpersonal skills and a passion for the sport of basketball
- Strong communication skills are required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, participating in multiple, complex projects simultaneously
- Available to work in-person as well as online, and to occasionally travel between various locations as required
- Video production diploma or equivalent education is a bonus
- Having personal video production equipment is required
- Previous video production experience within the basketball industry (or the sports industry in general) is a bonus
