Reporting to NPH Marketing Manager, The North Pole Hoops Account Manager is responsible for managing two Instagram accounts (@NorthPoleHoops & @NPHShowcase) and one on Twitter (@NPHShowcase). Will serve as a subject matter expert in all elements related to Canadian basketball.

Beginning with learning the Canadian basketball space on an expert level (Middle School to NBA), along with learning about North Pole Hoops as an organization (past, present, future), the Account Manager is tasked to tell the story of Canadian Basketball, and represent the brand to a global audience. This role works closely alongside the Marketing Manager, to provide the hottest content, ensuring consistent growth and maximum engagement.

The Account Manager is expected to follow and promote our philosophy of: 1. lead yourself, 2. support your team and 3. execute tasks.



  • Create 6 posts / day (@NorthPoleHoops)
  • Create 4 posts / day (@NPHShowcase)
  • Develop skills in Photoshop / graphic design working off of existing graphic templates (e.g. data entry, logos, text boards)
  • Understand and maintain each brand’s identity across all channels and ensure marketing activities & promotions are clearly communicated across all relevant channels
  • Grow the following & overall audience reach of all NPH social media accounts
  • Report continued monthly growth of audience & key insights
  • Lead the creation of original content & ideation of new projects (e.g. interviews, player perspective)
  • Generate weekly content schedules and execute in coordination with the Marketing Manager
  • Participate in weekly marketing meetings, describing the department’s activities from the past week and the planned activities & goals for the upcoming week
  • Analyze content performance through platform analytics, to constantly elevate engagement and growth through adjustments based on audience, AKA “Listen to the community / market”
  • Work closely with other departments within the company, to learn about the organization’s operation and build relationships



  • 1+ year experience in multi-channel campaign work across all major digital channels
  • Marketing or related degree is required
  • Mastery of the English language and strong copywriting skills are required
  • Possess superior understanding of the target audience
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing (email marketing, website content management, social media marketing & advertising)
  • Familiar with product / service sales analysis, as well as running digital marketing stat analysis (email, Google Analytics, social media, etc)
  • Experience working on developing new or refreshing existing branding an asset, as is previous marketing experience within the basketball industry (or the sports industry in general)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and participating in multiple, complex projects across a number of brands and/or revenue streams simultaneously
  • Team player with great interpersonal skills and a passion for the sport of basketball
  • Available to work in-person as well as online, and to travel to various venues for event coverage as required
