Best Big man in Canada from Quebec? Meet Arnaud Boyer-Cillis

Is Arnaud Boyer-Cillis the best big man in the country?

It’s a question that we can better answer following the Quebec NPH Showcase September 11-13, where ABC has confirmed his attendance.

I first spotted the 6’9, 230-pound skilled forward this past summer, where he was playing with his Vanier College Cheetahs group.

After watching one game, it hit me; this kid is right up there with the best of them, and possibly the most complete, after showing and inside-outside game, feel around the rim, mobility, strength, athleticism and overall strong court presence.

Boyer-Cillis currently holds NCAA offers from St Francis, James Madison and Middle Tennessee…you could expect his recruitment to boom in the next couple months.

“I expect him to dominate for us, he should have a big year,” Vanier Head Coach Andy Hertzog told North Pole Hoops.

Boyer-Cillis plays with Sun Youth on the club scene, and is in his second year at Vanier College.

Last season was practically non existent for the big fella due to a broken wrist.

However, the injury did not stunt his development, as he has been working and developing in the background, ready for a break out 2015-2016 season.

“When I first saw him, he was raw material,” said Coach Hertzog.” But he was always working on his game, so I never had a doubt about his major upside.

Off the floor, Boyer-Cillis holds an academic average close to 90%, further opening his college recruitment opportunities.

We are very excited to be back in Quebec in less than two weeks to learn more about Arnaud, and the best that QC has to offer.
