Nsoseme, a 6-foot-9, 195-pound forward/center from Kinsasha, Democratic Republic of Congo, has been playing prep at The RISE Centre Academy in Brantford, Ontario, Canada.

Nsoseme, who signed with the University of Cincinnati in early November, didn’t show up on the recruiting radar because he grew up in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

“Eliel is a wonderful story,” Cronin said. “For a young person to come from Kinsasha (Democratic Republic of Congo) travel to Canada and soon to be coming to Cincinnati – in a short period of time – is impressive. I love his passion to compete and his size, length, and athleticism make him a tremendous prospect. He has unusual quickness for a big man and when combined with his energy, makes him highly effective as a shot blocker, scorer and rebounder. We are very excited to have Eliel join our family.”
