6 foot 7 Dalano Banton from Rexdale, Ontario has committed to coach Rick Stansbury and the Hilltoppers from Western Kentucky joining the 2018 class after reclassifying from 2019.

“We are getting a very talented young man that has a great understanding for how to play,” Stansbury said. “He’s got great size and length for a perimeter player, but also has a great feel for how to score and how to facilitate. There’s no question he has a great future ahead of him, and we’re excited to have him as part of our program.”

Banton, plays for Redemption Christian Academy in Northfield, Mass. He played last season at MacDuffie School in Granby, Mass.

Banton joins junior college forward Matthew Horton, JUCO guard Trevelin Queen, Class of 2018 guard Jeremiah Gambrell and Class of ’18 forward Galen Smith III as fall signees for Stansbury’s Hilltoppers.
