  1. WS says:

Can anyone shed light to why Addison Patterson or Joshua Hemmings are not on this team? I thought they were among the two best players in this age group?

  2. CBF says:

Patterson, Hemmings, Matthew Alexander Moncrieffe, Kobe Antwi, Coleman Stucke, Ladera Obang, all not even among the 17 invited to training camp. And I would maybe add someone from the class of 21, like George Lefebvre, Kyle Duke, or Kordell Charles, to give some international experience to the younger generation (which they seem to do on the US team).

The fact that none of these names was even in consideration is quite strange. In particular, of course, Patterson, who many would consider the #1 prospect in this age group. Would be nice to at least get an explanation for what went on from Can Basketball.

  3. CBF says:

To make things even stranger, Patterson gave an interview to the official FIBA website only 4 days ago, raving about how excited he is to lead the U16 team in the FIBA Americas and how he has learned a lot from the experience of the former U16 team, two years ago…

  4. don says:

Don’t forget 6’4 PG/SG Jalen Celestine the most under the radar kid . I watched the game between CIA Bounce and Northern Kings at the CYBL showdown, Addison and Celestine were by far the two best players on the court. Celestine potential, vision and knowledge of the game is crazy.

  5. the6hoops says:

Patterson, Hemmings, Kaleb Sooley, Kyle Duke. All 4 would have made this a stronger team
