David Penney joins London Basketball Academy

David Penney, a 2019 guard hailing from St. John’s-Kilmarnock, will join the London Basketball Academy for their upcoming season in the National Preparatory Association.

Penney is one of the top guards in the country in the class of 2019, a shifty point guard with a strong feel for the game and a high skill set.

The 6’0” combo guard hails from the Kitchener-Waterloo region and will bring a lot to the table for the squad from London, Ontario. Angelo Provenzano, Head Coach of the LBA, thinks Penney will be a huge asset.

“David comes from a great basketball program at SJK, and will work as a combo guard for us,” said Provenzano. “He’s an Ivy League caliber student, and D1 prospect.”

Penney joins a talented roster at the LBA, and will work with Jalen Warren, Joseph Hlady, and Josh Inkumseh towards earning the coveted top spot in the NPA, and a chance to compete in The Grind Session.
