Winnipeg to host Canada Basketball 17U & 15U Nationals
Basketball Manitoba announced today that they will be hosting the 2016 15U and 17U Male Canada Basketball National Championships in partnership with Canada Basketball and the University of Winnipeg. The tournament kicks off at the beginning August at the University of Winnipeg. The Championship brings together the top young basketball talent from across Canada.
The tournament will feature B.C’s Grant Shephard, Manitoba’s Emmanual Akot, Ontario’s Khaleem Bennett and Jaden Bediako, to name a few.
The 15U and 17U Female National Championships, which are taking place at the University of Regina, are in the semi-finals round today. Ontario will take on Manitoba, and Saskatchewan battles with Quebec as they look to punch their tickets to the finals tomorrow.
