Rowan Barrett Jr. drops 30 VS NBAers Stanley Johnson, Brandon Jennings

If you didn’t know 2019 Canadian prospect Rowan Barrett Jr, take a second to acclimate yourself to the news.

Barrett is participating in the OVO Bounce Basketball Tournament, and in his debut the 2019 prospect dropped 30 points against Team OVO (Drake’s squad) which included the likes of Detroit Pistons’ Stanley Johnson and New York Knicks’ Brandon Jennings.

RJ went 12/13 from the free throw line.

Recognized at the #1 prospect in the world for his age group, Barrett is similar to Andrew Wiggins during his high school career, except Barrett has entrenched himself at the top even earlier than Wiggins was able to.

Barrett Jr, even at this young age, has solidified himself as the most promising young prospect that will be coming out of Canada, and has demonstrated his authority on the court time and time again.

The young gun is coming off a leading role with the Team Canada U17 Cadets which just competed at the FIBA World Championships in Zaragoza, Spain.

Barrett averaged 18.4 points in just over 25 minutes of play per game. Barrett finished sixth in scoring in the tournament, but also played the least amount of minutes of the top six scorers.
