TOP 30 CCAA Team Rankings By Bill Crowdis – November 25, 2015

Rolling into week #5 of our CCAA rankings, we see our first movement in the top 5 but very little overall movement as most losses came at the hands of the higher ranked opponent.

Mohawk team

1-10 – Our first dent into the top 5 comes as no surprise with Mohawk and Sheridan facing off in the OCAA West – the most competitive conference in the country.

Sheridan drops a spot after taking losses to Humber and Mohawk by one point and two points respectively. Quest, even with a loss to VIU, slides into the top 5, while Champlain jumps up one slot after Lambton dropped a game against Mohawk.

UKC team

11-20 – Like our top 10, there has been some movement but no teams have dropped in or out of the next group of ten.

However, NAIT, Humber and John Abbott all seem poised to crack the top ten at some point this season. Biggest movement comes from Vanier who has dropped three spots with their second loss in a row at the hands of Brebeuf. UKC continues it’s rise in the rankings with a 6-0 record in the ACAA, as Crandall dropped two league games against league powerhouse Holland.

GBC team

21-30 – As always, the biggest changes are happening in the bottom third of our rankings. Brebeuf continues their streak having taken down Abbott, Champlain and Vanier in league play, however, they have been unable to take care of their other games.

Another RSEQ team, Montmorency, jumps into the top 30 for the first time this season along with the OCAA East’s George Brown College. Camosun hangs on to their top 30 ranking even after two heart breaking 3-point losses to Quest and Langara.

Player of the Week – Ryan Harnett
