U15

The Canadian Class of 2018 has proven to be a strong one, however the CNIT will serve as an opportunity to add more depth in the NPH Canadian National rankings–still many unknown names, combined with others that are fighting for position.

Team success breeds individual success. There should be one focus for these teams all weekend…WIN.

CNIT U15 Division

Brampton Warriors

brampton warriors

Kevaugh Touzalin, Kareem Elliot, Dylan Morrison will lead the way for the Brampton Warriors.

We play an uptempo spread the floor and attacking offense. On the defensive end, we play a mixture of zones and man. Expectations are to be the first U15 champs. – Head Coach Mark Ennis

BTB

BTB

Bilal Gueld, Siemens Ogbeide, Mikaiil Aslani of the 2018 class will lead the way for BTB.

We expect to make a deep run into the tournament. We have a good combination of size, skill, smarts and intangibles that help us go a long way.- Program Director Adeel Sahibzada

Canada Elite

CEAnother stacked CE group; Jabril Prince-Noel, Raheim Sullivan, Prince Oduro, Jayden Coke, Liam Courtney, Emmanuel Akot and the list does not stop –this squad is talented from top to bottom and will be a load for their opponents. Head Coach Chris Skinner has coached the boys up over the last several months, and the team has shown steady progress.

Hoops Canada

HCKahleel Ellis-Garcia will carry the load, but will need help from the entire squad on both ends of the floor, in order to rack up W’s.

We won’t be surprised, if we find some new hidden gems –after all, Isaiah Mike once was in the same position as an under the radar talent. He was discovered with the same Hoops Canada program.

We just want our teams to compete hard whoever we play and give us a chance to win every game by out working our opponents – Coach Jermaine Holness

DC United Canada

IMG_20150708_120749Tristen Miller, Jordan Smith are the top dogs on DC United Canada, a team that hopes to solidify its name on the basketball scene.

I would describe my team as a bunch of under the radar guys who play hard without much fan far. We will be in all of our games and don’t be surprised to see us playing for the championships.- Head Coach Jeff Birch

Grassroots Canada

GRCGRC 15s are very talented lead by the trio of Miykah McIntosh, Shakur Daniel & Maurice Calloo. This group is lightning fast, athletic top to bottom.

It has been a real brotherhood that has been a joy to coach. The team has played with the best of them and there were a few short comings which has grown their hunger…they are ready to compete in the CNIT – Head Coach Alex Johnson

Markham Gators

markham gatorsChad Vincent, Rashaun Smith & AJ Lawson Jr will lead the charge for the Gators, an athletic team that likes to push the ball in transition. Though undersized, they like to pressure ball handlers lead by scrappy PG Rashaun Smith & with Chad Vincent protecting the rim using his length, athleticism and timing to block and alter shots. Expect AJ Lawson to spread the floor with his quick trigger and shooting stroke.

Though Tristan Lindo won’t be present due to vacation, we plan on surprising some teams this weekend. This team loves to play with a chip on it’s shoulder and is here to earn some respect in the basketball community. Don’t be shocked if you still see us competing for medals on Sunday.

Scadding Court

Angelo Sarsonas, Dajon Cunningham and Prince Kamunga will lead the way for BTB, a scrappy team that you could expect to make the offense work for everything.

We expect it to be a great tournament featuring Canada’s top prospects. This will be an amazing way to kick start the summer for all athletes competing in this tournament. This tournament will definitely set the tone for Canadian basketball. -Head Coach Patrick Kalala

S-Elite

s eliteJalen Warren [Toronto NPH Showcase MVP], Pablo Villa, Joseph Hadly make up this group’s formidable trio. Due to this team being fairly new, S-Elite depends immensely on hard work.

We run the ball and defend to create offense. We expect to play every game like it’s our last and hopefully we will gain some respect throughout Canada. – Head Coach Shane Bascoe

Team Breakdown

download_20150708_113343Dae’Shawn Wisdom, Turell Hackett, Ukasha Khan, Jaylen Baker, Jefferson Omane-Acheampong will lead Team Breakdown. A defensive-minded team that looks to push the ball at every opportunity. There aren’t any clear cut superstars on this squad but expect Breakdown to get the job done as a team, that thrives off ball pressure.

My expectations going into this event is to compete with the top teams in the province and make some noise for my team to gain more experience and grow. – Coach Bright Appiahowusu
