Andrew Wiggins, Lock for Rookie of the Year?

It looked to be a two-man race for the 2014-2015 NBA Rookie of the year.

However, unfortunate news for the league came out, as the Miluakee bucks announced last night that their star rookie will miss the rest of the season due to a torn ACL in his left knee.

With Jabari Parker out, who else is there to contend for rookie of the year?

According to the NBA Rookie Ladder, players like K.J McDaniels (Philadelphia), Nikola Mirotic (Chicago), Tarik Black (Houston), Nerlens Noel (Philadelphia) among others trail behind Wiggins.

Mid-Way into December, Andrew Wiggins overall statistics are up, however his shooting percentage is relatively low (38%).

With key rookies (lottery picks) Joel Embiid, Aaron Gordon, Julius Randle and now Jabari Parker missing games due to injury, Wiggins is in the driver seat.
