The #1-ranked Canadian prospect in the class of 2012 has come to a decision. McDonald’s All-American Anthony Bennett has verbally committed to attending UNLV next season, and joins fellow Canadian Khem Birch.

Bennett gradually cut down his list of potential schools over the past month, which included Kentucky, Florida, Washington and Oregon…the final program he scratched off prior to ‘staying home’ and deciding on UNLV.

The Brampton, Ontario native attends Findlay Prep in Las Vegas and will remain in the same city for his NCAA career as a running rebel.

The 6’8 forward has been able to transform his game and in turn, increase his player stock considerably over the past two years.

During his high school years in Canada at Harold Brathwaite, he was simply a physically gifted athlete with broad shoulders; and has now expanded his game to the perimeter while continuing to develop his body.

Congratulations and good luck to Anthony Bennett as the journey continues at the next level!
